howdy mokroopals.. =)

today was an interesting day. auhsd had a teacher inservice day, so no students but the teachers had to be at school. there are six student teachers at katella hs...and i was the only one to go today. it kind of bothers me...i mean, i know that we're not "teacher" teachers...but come on, being a teacher is more than just standing in the classroom...it's meetings, it's budgets, it's setting ridiculous goals to meet state/federal requirements....it's more than meets the eye. i think it's important to learn about all of this...and even though i had to be at school at 8am, i'm glad i was there. it doesn't matter if the info given wasn't stimulating or new....or how teachers hated every second of it...the real teacher experience comes out dealing with this stuff in addition to teaching students. i also like to go to as many school activities as possible...so i went to the groundbreaking ceremony...back to school knight...staff meetings...inservice day...a volleyball game. i mean, i want to be involved not just because it might look good for me, but because i think that's what teachers should do and they should be involved with the school. talking with my master teacher he said he was kind of disappointed to hear that other master teachers said not to come because it would be boring...i agree. it wasn't a punishment...i've had worse than today. i just think it's not cool that some student teachers will be hired right away and not be involved with school while others will work their patoots off and not get hired...but what can i say...

i learned some stuff today...and some stuff was just crap, but you have to get used to it. i was around my master teacher all day today...and we decided i would teach tomorrow. hooray? hehe...i'm nervous, it's performance anxiety..hehe. but he says he knows i will be good from the time he's spent with me so far...i guess i'll see tomorrow...and you'll hear from me tomorrow =) i get to review cell theory, microscopes and membranes...then teach about prokaryotes/eukaryotes and some cell organelles...hehe. it's a lot...but i'm afraid i'm going to whoosh through it all with lots of time left...hopefully i will be able to slow it down. i'll be showing them a sample powerpoint i did for class on the cell and along with that i'll be lecturing...scary eh?? hehe...well, it is!

thanks lisa for the oscal...i will give you the money the next time i see you. you got me apples? did you stop the diet? 7lbs is great! that's like in 5 days or so...for those who do not know, i got a copy of this 2 week diet from work where you eat a specific menu of food each day of the week...after 2 weeks, you stop the diet completely and go back to normal eating...but just lessening any high amounts of carbs you may have taken before. in approximately 2 weeks, if followed correctly, you lose around 20lbs. and you may think it's absurd...but i've seen it work for a bunch of people...and it began working for lisa. rodel is trying it now...but i haven't done it. i can't say no to good home-cooked food from my mom.. =) what if she made pho in those 2 weeks? hehe...

albert, i can't believe you drove to and from san francisco...twice! you are a silly mofo...

kimmy...you are not meek. but i concur with albert, you are not confident in the arrogant, directly aggressive manner...you are direct but not commandingly so. but do not fret, i'm a 23 year old teacher who sounds like she's 9...who laughs after every statement she makes..hehe =)

rodel...*big heart hug* =)
