howdy all...

it's my conference period at school and i had to email a parent....so here i am. as of late, i too have neglected our community blog but i think that is testimonial to the amount of work we have. the end of the quarter is next friday so i have things to grade and actual grades to fill in.

ok...well, my conference just ended and i have students coming in for makeup tests. anyone feel like doing something tonite or this weekend? i'll call people tonite...if i don't fall asleep first.

weekends are superb!! remind me to show you the article in the school paper about me...they took a bunch of pictures of me but the used the one where it seems like i'm talking in slow motion. =)
Albert, yeah, 20/20.... now its 3am and Roger is already gone, guess you decided not to drop by (well considering whats up with you car I don't blame you). No more migraines I hope. We gotta attempt shoe shopping again though, this time maybe we'll be successful!

Hope all is well with everyone :) Maybe see you guys this weekend.

Sweet misery... I haven't been the greatest poster either... I'm not sure that busy is the word... but occupied... yes.. but that explanation comes later o_o?

It was somewhat recently pointed out to me that most of us have personal blogs, with rodel and i being the exceptions... I look at the links on the side of the blogger and Lo and Behold! Tis True!

It's good to hear you are well and thriving in Boston Kim. It must be good times in that city right now. To think, the BoSox were down 3-0 and now they've won the World Series.... thats pretty friggin crazy.... So the story goes... Kim Goes to Boston: The of Death of The Curse.... scientific correlation? Probably not. Great movie title? Yes, indeed.

RODEL! YOU'RE GETTIN BROADBAND! wOOtE12Z! You're also gettin a new desktop and laptop (might I point out that you recently lamented on not having a laptop). Lucky Punk =) I'm almost jealous, but my 800mhz machine has been faithful and I've had cable for a little while now and I don't exactly NEED a laptop... Anyway, I'll probably be seein you online more often.

Lisa, it doesn't look like you'll get too much tennis practice in this week. Damnit, right as I was typing that the sun started shining.... Thank you God! for making me feel like an ASS! eh... oh well.. i'm an ass every now and then anyway.... Anyway, yeah, if you wanna get any practice in this week, weather-willing, then let us know.. (btw, yes, i know i'm an atheist)

Jeez Pat. It's kinda scary that I worry about you when you're awake when I wake up. So much for getting your sleep pattern back to normal. Anyway, I hope you don't get any migraines today while helping Roger out. Maybe i'll drop by later. I dont know why I'm typing this in the blog because chances are... you're not going to see it while it's useful. Foresight is 20/20 =)

Hey Kressler. Glad to see you're still pulling through. I don't know where you get the energy to do everything you do. Whatever hat you're pulling all that energy out of, I hope you pull out a lil extra for yourself every now and then. Maybe it'll put a little spring back in your step instead of going towards grading papers. ^_^

Sorry for being a bit quiet on the blog lately. A lot has happened over the last several days. Anyway, I found out two nights ago that my grandma (my mom's mom) had passed away. My mom flew to vietnam yesterday night and she'll be there till Nov. 14th. My grandma lived well into her eighties and she enjoyed life. Even at her age, she loved eating good although not necessarily healthy food, especially pizza (I'm sure that's a tidbit you'll enjoy Pat). So I'm not devastated or anything, but a loss is still a loss and it's just something for me to deal with. It's not a terribly sad thing, it's just another part of life. I hope I'm lucky enough to live a full life and enjoy it all the way up till the end. I dont exactly want to live to be quite that old, but if I do, I hope to be a strapping fellow.... even if I'm 85 =) Maybe get hit by lightning or something.

I actually got a full nights sleep last night. I pretty much konked out as soon as I got home from my night class. Today is one of the few times that I've woken up for my 8am class feeling well rested (this isnt a complaint, I know some of you have to wake up much earlier). So I head off to class, but class is cancelled... so that was kinda nice and kinda not nice... I was actually ready and truly awake.. i made the effort to get there.. and it's cancelled... oh well... not complaining about this either... but even if i wanted to celebrate about it; on my way home my oil check light came on... After I pulled into my driveway I looked under my car only to see my car bleeding oil, one drop at a time. I looked down the road that I had driven and a part of it looks like rainbow road. I could see the trail from el toro road leading all the way into my driveway... *sigh* so that's gonna be a costly fix methinks. I hope it isn't as bad as it seems.

So yeah, I'm not saying all this to be depressing, but just because its stuff like this that I've been dealing with. A little rain must fall in everyone's life, figuratively and as of lately, literally. Things could be much worse and they arent, or at least not yet anyway =) So.. I dont wanna hear any I'm Sorry's because there's no need for it. If I hear an ounce of sympathy, scathing nasty will come your way. Anyway, I dont say this often.. so urrr.. savor it? but.. I'm glad to have all of you as my friends because even when times are rough, I can always think about you and find peace and happiness. ^_^

aiya! I've been a poopey poster lately! hehe...so... Vegas sounds like a go, hehe...wow, we'll all be together! =) hooray! who's going to that 70's show? all of you? have fun!! =)

here's my 2 cents on the gavin concert:
I loved it! =) Although I found the venue to be awfully weird with it being a sit-down place and I do enjoy the ability to sway with the music...it was nice to not have sore feet after the show, to be near the bar, and the autograph hallway =).
Hehe, we've seen Gavin so many times, he seems just like another person almost, he doesn't quite give me butterflies anymore, but alas, he is still a wonderful person and always gracious. He's amazing on stage and I'm surprised he played all the songs he did, very nice set =). I did miss "dancing shoes" though.
Michael Tolcher is the cutest! Hehe...his set was amazing, very lively and I love the rowing the boat piece =). I can't wait to get the pictures back, I hope he was smiling =). Kress, I should get them developed next weekend sometime =)

Kim - hope the game night is oober fun! hehe...i love that you are able to find the alcoholic enjoyment no matter where you are ;) i can't wait for your trip back home =).

Actually I got a really good deal on the tickets, they were free ;-)

The Gavin show was good, again I thought Tolcher was better than Gavin... but that is not to say Gavin is bad, he's not!

That 70's Show... sounds awesome, can't wait!
does anyone else ever have problems with blogger when they try to post?? like, sometimes it takes a hella long time to load, and i have freakin' cable!

anyhoo, we're flying to vegas?? omg, how much were the tickets? i thought we were driving! kress, are you still going to vegas with your familia?

boston = cold. sox fans = nuts. sox frenzy = kinda cool... second time i've lived in a city where the team played in the world series! school = chill, not a big deal. actually, i feel kinda smart, since i had to repat some of these classes and i actually remembered stuff! people think i'm smart and i'm like, it's all an illllllllllllllllllllllusion. parties = fun fun. will probably go to a bar tomorrow to watch the game since it is IMPOSSIBLE to get tickets (like i had a chance in hell).

we have seen a lot of gavin shows haven't we? hehe, but i still LOVE him! have fun with the 70s show and all other things this weekend. i'll be home in a month!!

Thursday, October 21, 2004

hey everyone...

long time no blog. =) i guess i haven't really found the energy in the past few weeks. i still don't have much energy to blog actually... =)

vegas seems ok. i didn't know you were going to buy the tickets to fly already though...hmmm, it should work out.

tv taping - i've always wanted to see that 70's show....it's hilarious. =)

gavin & tolcher concert was very good....the coach house has its goods and bads. it's pretty relaxed with the seats and tables...but they are quite uptight about people standing up [which is actually fine with me since we were in the back] i think the highlight was seeing michael tolcher...i love gavin and always will, but we've seen so much of him in recent months that the shows seem to mold together into the same. still love the *let's get it on* *tracks of my tears* *drinking song* *relativity song* and of course all the regulars. since it was only our 2nd time of seeing tolcher i was looking forward to it. he was very awesome...so energetic and bubbly. he was super nice when we met him too.... =)

ok, i'm either off to grade or off to sleep. in the end, it will definitely be sleep... =)
Vegas is officially going to be December 29th - January 1st. We'll be staying at the Tropicana. I got us all tickets to fly there on JetBlue - we leave from Long Beach at 12:10pm on the 29th, and we leave Vegas on the 1st at 5:40pm. Hope that is good with everyone :-) Anyone interested in seeing any shows while we are there?
that 70's show tv taping - Friday, Nov. 19. We'll ahve to take off from my place at 4:45 for traffic on the 101 North in Hollywood.

gawd, everyone around me has a laptop....why don't I have one?

cause I need a damn job...=(

I have so much wasted time on my hands between classes and I'm complaining that I am running around campus to find a computer, north campus to computer science lab, then I get all lazy and not want to do anything at all. I'd be perfectly productive, but it ends up me being lazy and not doing the things I want.

I hate school. 7 weeks already. What am I going to do now?

My tuesdays, thursdays, and fridays are an excuse to get out of the house, but I don't do anything the whole day.
Hey guys.. it's time to start planning for New Years in Vegas! We need to reserve a room before they are all taken. I may be able to get us free rooms at either the Rio or the Tropicana. I called up the Rio and asked about rooms, they said they are only available if we stay the 30th -> 1st (meaning we leave on the 2nd). I don't know what everyone wants to exactly do in terms of how long we are there or when we leave. Is leaving on the 2nd good with you guys? 3 days in Vegas, leave on the 4th? What are your guys thoughts? I talked to Kim already and she said that leaving the 2nd is no problem for her. What about everyone else?

i have a desk! :)

Hope you get better Rodel. It's never fun being sick (except for the one time I had a sore throat and the prescription was popsicles). Do you know what you caught? Well, just eat well, drink lots, and get enough sleep and hopefully you'll recover sooner. I guess you have to just ride it out sometimes.

Hmmm Lisa.. maybe the new girl will behave better in your class although I won't get my hopes up for you. It's not the same girl who calls her teacher a bitch right? It's scary she would raise her fist to a teacher.. she wasnt threatening physical harm was she?

Hey Kressler, are you still doing alright? You haven't blogged in a while so I'm guessing that means you have little free time these days. Anyway, you're still kick ass teacher and you have our support, so dont ever think otherwise =)

Hola Kim, I'm glad the concert was terrific as usual. I'm sure you were thinking of your tazer when those inconsiderate drunks were bumping into you. Why is it that it's usually the audience that spoils concerts? Hmmm, do you think if someone spilled alcohol on themselves and you hit them with a tazer, they would burst into flames? o_O?

Hello to you too Pat. Urm.... wasabi? Yeah, I see you often enough or talk to you online enough where blogging you a message seems redundant. Oh well, for the sake of completeness... I hope you're able to finish up everything regarding the new wheels business... when will justin get back so you can raise your rear suspension? Hope v4 doesnt drive you too crazy but i guess it comes with the territory... I remember your binge coding days right before the completion of v2 and v3...

Hurray for Start Paragraphs with an H Day! =P Not too much new here, although I'm enjoying my computer a bit more now since I replaced my old computer fan with a near silent one. Mousing has never been so smooth either =) My room is clean too. I guess I couldnt ask for too much more.

I'm sick. =( I belive I caught it from Jack or I stood outside too long in the moist 60 degree air. Sorry Kim. You must be frigid.

I have a midterm, quiz, and project due today, what a wednesday, and I'm supposed to be well enought to take photos, I don't think so.

I could be sick this weekend, cause when I get sick, it lasts for two weeks.

Tuesday, October 05, 2004

wow, it's been awhile! lol...kim...i'm glad you got your snow boots in time for the cold weather! =)

gosh, things have been a whirlwind of craziness lately...i'm sure we've all been fighting the elements of our lives ;). This weekend I did some long awaited shopping for some new work clothes, and I joined my family for the annual CHOC walk =).

It's been a big testing time at school and I've had tons of papers and exams to grade (ewww) plus with our new unit, there's been lots of changes in the room, good ones I think =).

I got a new student today. She's had a tough time at home apparently and as a behavioral intervention they removed her from the other 5th grade room. She'd been cussing out the teacher and smart mouthing all day long for some time, the last straw came when she yelled how bored she was during a read aloud and then raised a fist at the teacher when asked to step outside for some cooling off time. She was good in my room todaythough, only because it was day 1, apparently she's got day to day issues, so, we'll see how things go tomorrow.

As for the weekend, I'm game for hanging sometime. I've got a few things going on, so let me know when you guys decide to gather so I can join you all in the fun times =).

Have a great week everyone!!!!!! =)
It's going to be about 37 degrees tonight. Jeepers!

They still observe Columbus day over here, so no class next Monday. Yay!

The Gavin concert was uber-riffic!! The only downside were a couple drunk people nearby who kept bumping into me verra rudely and inconsiderately, but other than that, awesome show, as always!

Brr...

Long time no see everyone (except Albert)... what have you guys been up to? I've been going crazy working on ProBoards. We gotta do something this weekend, I need to have some fun!
