a breakup!
hehe...not me & rodel you dingwadheads! lol...i guess it's only interesting to some of us but jason mraz & tristan prettyman broke up.
i don't really read his journals but i was bored and looking at all the music people...in his journal he kind of mentioned it...and upon further research in forums and what not, it's true! to make it even more sad, it was on valentine's...she emailed him & apparently announced at his show that night that his gf broke up with him in an email.
they both said that it was a mutual thing...and they're both listening to ryan adams to ease the pain...how odd. kind of sad...think of all the tshirts he made about tristan...maybe they become rags now.
and in other news, my decathlon kids won 14 medals...thanks to me never helping them study! haha...they are a smart bunch but lazy as heck...it was nice having them win though...couldn't be happier for them. they also gave me 2 cards & flowers...so sweet!! i'm probably going to stay with this crazy decathlon stuff...but apparently i'm supposed to brainstorm & admin. will brainstorm about how to make the kiddies more accountable...cuz i don't think it's fair for me to stay every single day if they don't show up twice within 3 weeks. *sigh*
in other, other news...it's a 3-day weekend & albert is home...hooray!! should be good times. =) albert's post did not show on the date it says it was posted...strange, but MATSU @ 6:30 SUNDAY? i have never been and i hear it is mighty excellent so i do not object.
in even more other, other news...it's 8am on a saturday...i've been up since 630. this whole getting enough sleep thing is really weird. =) enjoy the rain today..hehe =)

plans this weekend??
howdy...
well, we all should have been together this past weekend but unforeseen events prevented us from doing so. we can amend this situation by meeting this coming weekend though. albert's choice!! since it will be his quite belated birthday shindig...to which i might add, tell me what you want for your birthday already!! =) people need shopping time...
i'm glad you are starting to feel better lisa...i still think you should have gone to the doctor again though to double check that everything is really ok. just because we feel better doesn't mean we are well. =) i've typed that like 3 times today...hehe. when you're feeling up to it, we should have our movie night...order DOMINO'S pizza & eat lots of junk food...or we can buy some crabs from the vietnamese store, boil them up & eat the seafood that we missed from pismo [if you think that was random, it sort of was...but my mom bought these giant crabs from the store for $1.99 a pound...which is quite a steal. that was good eating!]
and for valentine's....no plans. i teach all day...rodel has class all night. didn't really feel like waiting at a restaurant for an hour or for him to pay 5x the normal amount for flowers. =) i guess that means i'm free on that day to do whatever...it will probably be spent online talking to students who have questions on their test the next day. so please bug me on tuesday...and wednesday is ocad awards night...i'm kind of excited. i have very high expectations of some kids winning medals but i don't have all the scores yet...should be very interesting.

I'm sorry...pismo =(
Guys. This "just a cold" is kicking my freakin ass! If I only count from the day my cough got gross, it's day 11 today. It's only getting worse and this weather is not helping. My cough has worsened, I can breathe even less than before, and I'm super weak. By ELD (at the end of my day) I have to teach from my rolling chair. I've lost 12 pounds and counting...I tried to force myself to eat a pear and some salad today, but eating hasn't been easy to do. I shall return to the doctor Friday to figure out if it's still "just a cold".
So...I'm oh so sorry...but unless some miracle occurs, I won't be joining the fabulous festivities in Pismo =(. You all know I would be there in a heartbeat if I could. For those who do go, you must eat lots and have gobs of fun to share about...I know you will =). I will miss seeing everyone, but trust me, this is nothing you want to be around!

Thanks for all the well-wishes. I'm 23 now. My age is no longer a palindrome... However my new age is a prime number! Hooray for prime numbers.
To celebrate my birthday I took a midterm. I also got a belated present today, another midterm! The education system really loves me. hehe.. in all honesty, they weren't bad at all so I'll hopefully be getting the results back soon. I got a 96 on my midterm last week. bwahaha...
For my birthday I actually went to the beach yesterday and watched the sun set. I took lots of pictures on my fisheye camera (my sister got it for me for x-mas), so I have to get that roll developed. You guys should really visit me sometime up here. I'm sure pismo will be nice but Santa Cruz is quite gorgeous in its own right. There's also a downtown area with lots of shops and nightlife activities. Bars, clubs, restaurants, bowling, even a LEE'S SANDWICHES! THEY HAVE A FREAKIN LEE's! I also went to trader joe's and bought 3 pints of ben & jerry's. My roommates and I ate to our hearts content. Quite a nice way to celebrate my birthday.
So all is well up here. It'll be nice to see most of you this weekend in Pismo. I'm sure you'll be there in spirit Kim. Wherever there's seafood, alcohol, and sweets, I'm sure you're there in spirit. I hope I hope I hope you're feeling better Lisa. In fact, I hope everyone is feeling better even if they felt good to begin with =) Anyway, I've gotta get back to work on some homework *gasps* Hasta luego amigos!
