howdy...

real quick blog...kim, if you want to hang out tonite then give me a call. most of us were together last night but did not decide what we would do...so yeah.. =)

i'm a bit busy now but yeah, i'll call you guys later to see what's going on. bye!
Patrick: Lisa = non-freak, actually quite normal and wonderfully sweet *bats eyes*... haha ... ok, just go ahead and purchase your ticket, if I choose to go to the Kweller concert later on down the road I can purchase my ticket at that time. My suggestion, go to the HOB box office, that saves you the extra ticket master charges.

Albert: Welcome back!!! =) We missed you, glad you had a great time though =).

Rodel: Have fun at Costco =)

Kress: Sorry about all those munchkins giving you a hard time. I'm glad that you are still able to stay positive and realize that their behavior does not reflect the amount of work you're doing or the level of your abilities! If that were the case, you'd have angels in your room and the world would look in awe and wonder =). lol...no really though, keep up the good work, your vacation time is coming soon and trust me, there is nothing like a vacation to lift one's spirits! =)

Kim: What happened to your phone? hmmm...hope you had fun at poker...catch the bouquet at the wedding ok?! =)

Kress...your list...
1. Glenn Ivy - - I'm game with any Saturday in August. It depends on how my year starts off...so I'll have to get back to you on the treatments =).

2. Celebrate! - - Well, I think you'll probably have a large group, so depending on the time you set dinner for, you may want to just pick one of those restaurants you listed that do take reservations, that way you don't have to worry about waiting for a table, although, tell everyone to come earlier than your reservation time...you know how everyone is always late!

3. Angels -- Ok, I have the schedule on my wall, so, for August:
Sun 8/1: Seattle @1:05
Tu 8/10 - W 8/11: Baltimore @ 7:05
Th 8/12: Baltimore @ 1:05
F 8/13 - Sat 8/14: Detroit @ 7:05
Sun 8/15: Detroit @ 1:05
M 8/23 - W 8/25: Kansas City @ 7:05
F 8/27: Minnesota @ 7:05
Sat 8/28 - Sun 8/29: Minnesota @ 1:05

My Catalina excursion is posted on This Chick's Chatter =). See you all tonight =).

hmm, is it possible to change spa day to a different weekend? i was thinking of going to vegas that weekend... besides which, i don't even know if i can get that saturday off because my coworker already asked for it.  i dunno, worse comes to worse, you guys will have a fun spa day without me.  :)  whatever, i'll probably see you guys tomorrow.  speaking of which, i think we should hang out tomorrow, as saturday i am going to a wedding.   =)

welcome back albert!

p.s.  i think i am phoneless at the moment.  try to blog future activities.  i will keep tomorrow open for you guys, don't let me spend friday night alone.  ;)

Wednesday, July 28, 2004

hello!

first off, welcome back albert!!  =)  the mokroops missed you... =)

secondly...we need to decide some things.
1) spa day @glenivy is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 14th.  we need to decide what treatments [if any] we want to have and make appointments for them that day.  i'm assuming we want to go to the one in corona, and if that's the case be sure to bring/wear your bathing suit, flip-flops and money for the entrance fee into the many facilities there.

2) celebration dinner!  i'm planning on celebrating [finally!] my new job at esperanza...i'm now more at ease with my decision and feel that it's right for me.  =)  with that in mind, i'm trying to decide on a restaurant that we can go to with all my friends to celebrate...here's what i'm thinking so far.

*Maggiano's
*Claim Jumper
*TGIF
*Bucca di Beppo
*BJ's

they all sound good to me and i'm not sure which to choose...it also makes a difference which place because some may or may not take reservations.  i'm aiming for thursday [8/12] or friday [8/13] for the dinner.  if you think there's a definite best restaurant or have a suggestion for me, then let me know.  the party is not exclusively mokroopal...i plan to invite some others as well, so you might want to keep a slightly larger party in mind.  =)

3) angels game!  we need to decide the best day to go for everyone.  i think just about any day in august is ok with me...except for 8/5 for sure because i know that i have an orientation meeting that day.  also the week of 8/23 might be good or bad because i know that i'm supposed to have trainings in the day...so if it's a night game i'm pretty sure it's ok.

only 4 more days until summer school hell is over.  i love teaching...but i think these punkass kids i have make my hair fall out.  i don't know when it was that kids became the rudest, meanest, nastiest people ever...they've all lost their common decency.  today i had kids yelling obscenities at each other...thank goodness i stopped the spitwad madness, but there's one guy who thinks he's such a badass...he went from my best & hardworking student to being the biggest pain in the ass....now all of a sudden he's a drama queen and gets everyone all pissed at him all the time.  i'm pretty sick of him right now...and it's sad because he was once so good!  about half my kids are good-good and the other half are good-bad [they have the potential to be good but inevitably choose to be stupid and bad]  it's so stressful to put up with them...i'm glad it's almost over.  i know they like me...but i can't take kids who are so bad behavior-wise and do not care about passing summer school...which is so freaking easy!  it makes me feel like i'm a terrible teacher and i know i'm not...but i still feel that way.

anyways, i think i've destressed enough by typing the above...so now i leave you.  =)

YAY! I'M BACK!

Anyway, I had a fun trip but it's nice to be back as well. I got gifts for all of you ^_^ and a couple for myself too =) I guess I have some catching up to do so we should hang out sometime soon.

Kress, I'm up for going out, especially with The Taco back in town we need to celebrate!

Roo, sounds like you had a lot of fun!

Kim, you need a Clique PC.

Albert, time for you to start blogging again since you should be back today!

Lisa, you're a freak. j/k, let me know about Kweller... I don't want to wait until the last moment and not get tickets ;)

This weekend was a fun filled weekend. On Friday, after my class, went to the rendevous point at the PAC house to meet up with the rest of the 16 people. 3 people owed a dollar (they had to be there at 11 am) who were late and I was the only one that was excused for the day cause they knew I had a test.  They were late and add to our money jar which will be used as a reward system.

We started off spliting into four groups, deemed 4 cars that went up there and went on a scavenger hunt. One: go to 5 restaurants and get signatures on napkins and some sort of picture, Two: Go to Live Bait, which WAS the old hangout spot for Cal. St. Long Beach Students, and Three: End at Makeout Park at Signal Hill, a beautiful view of the city overlooking the ocean. The reasons that we help make friends by going to places that we eat together, have favorite hangout spots and then the last one, imagine a big circular area, and three murals along the perimeter, evenly spaced, and one statue in the middle. In this, it represented PAC in the middle and the fraternities and sororities that were made off of it. It was really a great speech from our PAC president and very motivating. Then we were off to Lake Arrowhead.  The damn 91 east freeway took way too long and I'm never ever using that freeway again to go to either vegas or to the mountain resorts.

Yeah, we got there we were barely able to fit 4 cars into the area in front of the house. The house, address 749, was a three story house, previously homed by VIETNAMESE! The front door took us right to the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room. Well call this the second (main) floor. We went downstairs first. It was creepy cause it was really dark when the stairs had no lights, but when we turned them on, the walls were bending like it was being squished. It was quite frightening. At the bottom of the stairs came a game room, but it was just a 3/4 length pool table along with a medium sized living room. and two other rooms (a 4 bed, and a 2 bed), a bathroom, and a laundry room.

The top floor included a bathroom with a shower and two bedrooms. We figured that the first night everyone can split up evenly, but it was quite spooky with cobwebs on the main floor, the walls were crooked, and an eerie feeling to it. At night was just chilling and relaxing and cooking our own food, bbq was great, and running around just trying to get used to it. We slept too early, like 12 midnight, and apparently, 14/17 of us went to the main floor's living room cause we were just that scared. haha.

We started off the second day when we made some breakfast of champions, spam, eggs, and rice, with a whole load of ketchup, hehe, then it went on to our stategic cabinet workshops. The workshops included how to recruit new people, setting up events, and getting to know a person on cabinet that we didnt' get to talk to normally.  And that ended with the initiation to officially become PAC cabinet. A shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey in one hand blindfolded (which represented the hardships that the year will bring) and the other hand some pineapple juice (for all the fun times that we are going to have) It was great comparisons.

Then we headed for the lake, but it wasn't such a successful journey. We first got lost in the roads, in which they were sharp twists and turns, but ended up at the outlets which led to access to the beach. Apparently you need some kind of residental permit to get into the lake and the beach was across the way. How do you have a beach at the lake, it confuses me, but anyways, went back to the house, and just took naps cause we were super duper hot in the woods. But there were pranks going around, like putting lotion on top of peoples heads and taking pictures of them, calling them money shots, haha. It was a pretty curious cabinet and it went on to talks about sex, and then played some who's line is it anyways games.

The third day, we had clogged the main floor's bathroom. And left a surprise there for the people that are going to come and fix that. All in all, we ended up cleaning the house and leaving it as it was when we came in, spooky. It wasn't that bad of a drive coming back, 1 hr, 30 min, from 18 west, 215 south, 60 west, 57 south, 22 west, 405 north, exit Palo Verde and back to the home base.

i am happy that summer school is ending in a week...but i am also sad that i have to wait for a week.  some days are very wonderful, but a lot of days are just me yelling at them to not do something stupid.  grr...

anyone up for going out this week?  i hear the taco is returning on wednesday...  =)  hooray!

Monday, July 26, 2004

omg.  i am so pissed and frustrated!  i'm having mondo computer problems trying to apply for a freakin' loan!  boo...
I"m not a freak! I deposited the checks you guys gave me and I used that to buy the tickets...you all owe me $22.50.

I just went to post about the comic-con on my blog and I have learned my lesson, always save your blog, especially if it's lengthy, before sending it to publish. *sigh* Now, I'm too pooped out and frustrated to re-say what I've already said. So, you can check This Chick's Chatter, at a later time to find out what I learned at the comic-con =). hehe.

Patrick, if the Ben Kweller's go on sale for 2 for 1, I may go. I'll let you know =).

Countdown to my first day of school...2 weeks =)

lisa, you freak, i told you that if you don't have the money then you shouldn't buy the charlotte martin tickets!  =P  so stubborn!

Sunday, July 25, 2004

ok, i purchased the tickets for chick's w/attitude, patrick, kim, and I have one, and I have one left over for anyone who would like it =)

Mark your calendars: Wednesday, August 18 @ 6:30 pm

Thursday, July 22, 2004

haha, thanks for posting and we'll(I'll) see ya in a couple.

Venturing for a retreat with PAC cabinet in a two story cabin in Lake Arrowhead this weekend, for you wondering, where out of town will be at. I'll surely have pictures up right after, possibly a video. *thanks Pat*

Yeah Albert, my sister and I have been using the Cheat as a soccer ball in my room and a frustration negater every day.

I need some socks.

Have fun at the house party this weekend.

Goodness Gracious a lot has happened since I last posted...

I'm sorry I don't post more often but I've pretty much been on the move since I got here. We hardly stay in any one place for more than a couple days... After I left the first island we headed off to another one =) I got to go snorkeling again and got to go into a cavern in a rock formation out at sea. It led inland into the bottom of a giant pit surrounded by walls of rock maybe 60-80 feet high and covered with foliage. I also got to ride a train for 13 hours. That was fun too because the train had beds and I ended up sleeping on a top bunk. Oh yes, and I also go to go river rafting... that was quite an experience to say the least....

Kressler, I'm so happy for ya! Esparanza is such a nice school. My cousin David graduated from that school. Yeah, the students there probably won't disappoint as much academically. I think it's worth it. You became a teacher so you could teach (because teachers obviously aren't in it for the money ^_^ or so the joke goes anyway).

Kim, I'm sorry to hear that you were sore after the bonfire. Yes, I would've carried or dragged that cooler around for you ^_^ I'm always happy to help. Maybe you should give Western a call? It would be nice if you could hear a verdict from them one way or another. I noticed you changed your name to The Lush ^_^ It's very appropriate since you are quite the lush. Sorry for not leaving a cardboard cutout of myself for you guys, but I don't want to be a burden =)

Lisa, you read my mind! That was the only concert I wanted to go to of the 3 you posted. So I don't mind going at all. Glad to hear you're cleaning you're already clean apartment. I'm sure beyond spotless will be tolerable by all of our standards =) I'm sure you'd like adventuring around in Asia too. You seem to like the outdoors and whatnot.

Pat, you got your car fixed. w00t! I'm glad you're able to drive again. Although, I'll have to tell everyone to watch out again.. hehe.. j/k. You also have your house now (or should have it anyway) so double congrats to you. Damn man, you're movin on up. Just let me know when you get a personal jet... hehe. Yeah, I wonder what kind of housewarming gift I should give you.. i better find one for ya before I leave...

Rodel, Wow. You're quite the crazy guy ^_^ Twas quite a large birthday bash from what I've read... and you certainly left the beach in blazing glory. I hope your foot is better and that you're enjoying all your new fun toys ^_^ I hope pat gave you my present as well. Gettin quite a bit to drink eh? Take it easy on your liver buddy =) Anyway, I hope you have fun going out of town wherever that may be.

Alright guys, I gotta get goin but I'll be back in a week so I'll definitely hang out with you then. I do miss all of you too and all of your crazy antics. You guys are the best ^_^ I hope my mokroopal shirt is green!

also, we need to plan spa day and other such things.  i need some amusement guys...all i do is get stressed out and work.  i need a break.  =)

i am so confused!

i am in a bit of a quandry.  i've been having a few doubts about my new job and all, as you all know.  today south jhs called me to interview next week for the science position.

so i have interviews with ball jhs and south jhs because i think fate is trying to send me a sign or the stars are about to spell something out for me.  is this all incredibly insane?  it feels like a serendipity moment.

i've always believed that things happen for a reason, but just because they happen for a reason doesn't necessarily mean i will ever actually understand that reason.  it's not like i've been offered a job or anything, but if they do offer me a job then i will have a giant question mark over my head and i will really have no idea of what to do.  mr. wilmoth told me to make a good old fashioned pro/con list and to keep my options open.  and that it should really all come down to whether it feels right.   esperanza feels right...unquestionably right?  no...but will any offer i get feel that way?  probably not.  if i even get an offer from anaheim, who is to say this will feel right?  lately with the way the summer kids are acting, i feel like maybe it would be wonderful to have less discipline problems and to get students who really want to learn.  i know summer school is miserable for everyone, and remediation kids are tough, but i somehow don't think this would be as much of a problem at esperanza.

i think the biggest question for me is whether the low pay is a better trade off for more disciplined students.  if you ask me now, it's yes.  however, i know that during the school year i won't have such misery in all classes no matter where i am.  and i do feel like i can make a special connection to the lower achieving students - although summer school has proved me wrong.  it just makes me so sad to know that with all my positive energy and hard work that so many of the students are so willing to not work and pass this class.  now i don't really look forward to going to school as before because i constantly worry and have to use the yelling/scolding voice - which i hate.  i think i am in no condition to make a decision over the rest of my career now.  i think that summer school will end in 2 weeks, i will have some sort of mini-vacation to actually vegetate and relax a bit.  i wish i didn't accept the job so soon and told them that i need to think about it.  i usually don't rush into anything, but i gave a hurried answer because of my anxiety over not getting an interview, let alone an offer, anywhere else.

right now, i am tired and don't want to think of it much anymore.  some things just need to be said and left alone i think.

i still need to write up my whirlwind review of mayer and all the loveliness of the concerts.  i also need to get more sleep, eat a regular meal and smile more.  bye for now...the reviews will be in tonite!  =)

Howie Day is purchased, 3 tickets...section B, row K...kind of far, but still enjoyable =).
Me and Kress and 1 for Albert...Albert...there was an executive decision made =) so if you read this and don't want to go, too bad. haha =) ok, ok, just let us know, we'll find another concert lover =).

As for Charlotte Martin, I'll head over to hob tomorrow hopefully =) I'm picking up 4 since they're 2 for 1, we can decide who the 4th person is later =).

Yes, we still have concerts on the calendar! =) haha...okie dokie...hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday =)
*sigh*

still no news from Western.

boo-urns!

would be verra happy to go to liz phair/charlotte martine show. also got the 2 for 1 email. :)

don't know about howie day/matt nathanson... think i will have to pass.

Monday, July 19, 2004

Ok, I have to say, the concerts were fantastic =) . Thanks Kim for driving!! You rock! =) omg, I came back with more merchandise than I should have, once again. I just can't help myself! =) I'll let Kress blog for everyone the details of the fantasticness =).

Charlotte Martin/Liz Phair -- Wed., 8/18 $32.50 before charges @ Ana. HOB
(but these are 2 for 1 right now!)

Anyone want to volunteer to come with me to see Barry Manilow? I must warn you, I know all the songs, I'm a fanilow =) Sat., 11/13 @ Arrowhead Pond.

Saturday, July 17, 2004

howdy.. =)

for saturday, the tickets say it starts at 7:30 whereas on sunday it starts at 7pm.  for soundchecks i need to be there by 3:15 - so we can't be late.  although, i'll be at the venue for so freaking long that i won't know what to do with myself.  but it's all worth it for my mayer...i heart him so =)

Wednesday, July 14, 2004

I typed in mokrooton.blogspot.com instead of mokroopal.blogspot.com, and i'm like what, pats over grading papers with you guys? haha. the whole questions about justin getting married, i was confused til i looked at the date. haha.

A non working computer is a sad user.
omg!!!!!!!

Wah!! That would be so cool if you got in for the soundcheck!! You'll have to take lots of great pictures =). Although, they should let everyone in the party in also! Especially since there are other local-83 members! lol...but as long as you get in with your camera, everything will be great =) woohoo! =) fingers crossed awaiting your email =) haha

I am quite excited for the weekend festivities =) It feels like our weekend is starting tomorrow =) haha.

My apartment is getting cleaner and cleaner...soon, you guys'll be able to come over without the atrocious mess that usually occupies the place...it won't be done by Friday...but I'll at least try to get to the bathroom by then =) hehe...=) see you all soon =)
OMG

for the mayer concerts this summer tour, local-83 is letting the members who bought tickets into the soundcheck!! cameras are allowed!! =) if we are allowed to go, i will get an email from local-83 confirming it and the time. unfortunately, only the member who bought tickets is allowed to go in and not everyone in their party. but still, i'm pretty excited...woot. =)

also in other news...maroon 5's new video for *she will be loved* premieres on TRL on friday and gavin will be on american dreams! september 26th..the season premiere. he will be performing *the tracks of my tears* double woot. =)
Mini DV tapes are expensive. 7 dollars each for 63 min of video on SP mode.
But I ran out of Battery from leaving it in the car, under the towel, i left the power button on and was supposed to tape Peter getting rocked on his birthday. 4 drinks at D & B + 11 drinks at BJ's and 5 more til throw up at a person's house.

I'm still enjoying it anyways, hopefully you can find you 512 memory card, Pat. 30 min for every 128mb of memory, so about 120 min of video with a 512, that's a lot.

Congratulations to my hunny. This will be a fun job, you are like an unrestricted free agent of teachers, haha. Phat Dough. Most students should not be stubborn or give you a hard time for they are faithful to their school.

See you guys on Thursday and Friday.

Tuesday, July 13, 2004

Congratulations to Kressler!! =) I'm so happy for you! =) Yes, you had nothing to worry about, and this lapse in time has proved to be a very positive thing! =) You are now at a school that sounds amazing, I know you're going to be so happy =) *sigh* We definitely have to celebrate when you sign your contract!!!! =) *sitting and waiting to party*!!!

Thanks for yummy eats roo =). fun times birthdays are =)

Patrick, I'm so happy that you have your car back in one piece =) lol...i just hope it stays that way =) you just weren't yourself without it =)

kim, i think you may have yourself a boston traveling buddy this month =) i'm 99% sure my bonus went through =)

Albert...hope you're still having lots of fun swimming, eating, getting eaten =)

hmmm, i just finished my paper for tonight's class...i hope it's good enough...i haven't written a school paper in awhile. oh well, i suppose i'll find out soon enough =) i'm also off to dinner tomorrow night with rosanna, she promised not to sell me anything, haha...although, she did ask me today on the phone to donate money for a fundraiser...lol, it never fails...always something! =)

dentist appointment on thurday before happy hour, so i guess i'll have clean teeth when i see you guys! =) haha =) *cheese*
GREAT NEWS!!

I was offered a full time teaching position at Esperanza High School for September...teaching all biology! =) The facilities are in remodeling stages now, but by october i should have a new classroom including divided lecture area and lab area, technology including two monitors for powerpoint viewings and laptops with wireless internet for student use, and i will have only one prep since i will teach 5 periods of biology. it seems like such a dream...i still can't believe they offered me the position. i worked my behind off to get recognized by auhsd, but in the end pylusd ended up working for me...if they pursue me so how can i say no? maybe they appreciate me a bit more...i'm sad about not teaching in anaheim, and i will miss the "ghetto" kids...but esperanza is high achieving in all areas and it's a wonderful opportunity.

albert...you're missing out on so many things while you are away. we miss you!! come back soon and celebrate all the wonderful things with us. =)

Monday, July 12, 2004

i love my work and all, but there's this intern at work who's been driving me nuts. she can barely do anything and she doesn't seem like she wants to learn. she's slow as a turtle and she messes up so much that she creates extra work for me to do. blech... i know everyone needs to start somewhere, but she's killing me here. and to make matters worse, she doesn't even LIKE pharmacy? so... of course the people who do want to go to pharmacy school and work their butts off can't get in (cough), but the slackers and the ones who don't even care for the professions can. yes, perfectly logical. boo-urns!

i still haven't heard from Western, and i think that if i don't hear from them by the end of this week, then that's it. Boston i go. =*( the very idea of leaving you guys guts me to tears, so i'm not going to think about it anymore right now... :(

who would've thought that muscles could get sore from draggin a heavy cooler? i told my friend that my shoulders and neck are sore from pulling that thing with all my might and she asked why i didn't stretch first. why the hell would i think to stretch before pulling a cooler? anyhoo, it's been at least two days and the trazpezius are still hurtin'.

bonfire was uber-fun. we must do it again, though, the near heart attack i got from the thought of losing my keys in the sand was not cool. the sun was nice and the waves were relaxing. it was also nice to see everybody again. however, it seems to me that the annual bonfire looks more and more like a couples retreat every year. couples, bleh! ;) thanks for giving us an excuse to par-tay rodel. happy 25th, or 52nd, or 88 or whatever number of candles you happen to have. the food at your house tonight was de-lish. your mom offered to have us take some home but i didn't want to look like a pig. :)

congrats to kressler! we are all very excited for you and we should most definitely celebrate. i always knew you didn't have anything to worry about. ^_^

i am still pondering over what to get for your new abode, patrick. something for your walls, huh? i'll think of something. prints plus is always fun to hang out at... at least for moi. and if i don't at least have a housewarming gift, i will have jello shots and other various alcoholic beverages. =)

yes, we miss you albert. my pained muscles kindly remind me that had you been there, you would have carried that thing on your head before you let any of the rest of us touch it. :) i'm super jealous of all the fun that you are having out in the eastern hemisphere, but i'm sure that you are correct in that the humidity and warm weather would not be very awe-inspiring for me. we surely miss your silly antics and funny insights. as i said earlier to pat, kress and lisa, the least you could've done was leave us a cardboard cutout. ^_^

i'll see you guys (most of y'all) thursday for some $2 drinking fun. woot. =) sweet dreams everybody, the weekend is approaching anytime now.
Happy Birthday Rodel! =)

Sunday, July 11, 2004

howdy hey people... =)

first off...ALBERT!! we're so happy to hear from you. =) we were just saying how much we all missed you and how it simply was not the same without you here. we have a lovely mokroopal shirt waiting for you when you come back. your adventures in the far east seem so awesome - we're all jealous i think. well, i am...especially of the snorkeling and swimming with the fishes. =)

the bonfire was pretty good...my arm is sore from football though. =) i think we've learned a few lessons from this year's bonfire festivities:

1) hamburgers are too complicated; hot dogs are not.
2) putting on lighter fluid while the food is cooking is never a good idea.
3) gigantic fires that look wild and unruly can be tamed by the threat of a $1500 ticket.

i love the beach...and miss going. we hardly ever go, which is a shame really. i feel quite relaxed and happy there...

well, that's all i have to say about it..hehe. less than a week until wonderful mr. mayer. =) i am quite the happy girl.

happy birthday to my love.. =)
ah rodel, it was much fun =) although, yes, i am also sore today, my body is telling me not to run around throwing footballs in the sand anymore! =) haha

um, i wish i could take credit for the drink book, however, both drink books were from kim...the tennis stuff was from me =). it's ok, it was a crazy day =)

albert! so good to hear that you're having a good time =) i have your mokroopal shirt in my closet, awaiting your return =) keep enjoying the atmosphere and activities =)

About the Bonfire

Thanks to all that came out and contributed to the fun fun bonfire. I'm going to try to attempt who came to the bonfire. But if I'm missing your name I'm sorry, and I will have a link up for the pictures soon, I haven't posted up pictures in a while. Putting up a shady area proved to be nothing but a failure cause of high gust winds, broke off one of the four legs, and it was too cold to be in the shade. It was a nice 82 degree weather at noontime. My legs are absolutely tired from treading that sand and trying to walk straight. I would consider it a workout, but my legs are throbbing. As promised, threw in the PHYSICS book and 3 other books, they can go to ashes.

About the scrape of the foot

I have some kind of sharp pain on my right foot while cooking and looking for a hot dog bun, it might have been some sharp object in the dirt, or some sand creature biting away.

Bartenders 101

Hmm... I went from 0 books on drinks to 6 in one week. Whoa! What a thing to wish for. Thanks to those who gave me these books!

Bartenders Bible - Lani
New American Bartenders Handbook - Gina
The Ultimate Bartenders Guide - Karen
The Little Black Book of Cocktails - Keane
Sex on the beach and other wild drinks - Kim
The perfect drink for every occasion - Lisa

That's what I call reading material, if you want reference, turn to ME!

About getting kicked out of the beach

So we figured, we have all this wood, and it's 9 pm, hell, lets throw in the whole thing, we have half a dozen pallets, pieces of wood from my backyard, and wood straight from Big Bear. We threw it all in, caused a 12 foot high fire, "the bonfire seen in space" and beach patrol told us to leave. As well as the neighboring bonfires around. So I can actually say that, "we got kicked out of the bonfire." Serves them right for having parking at a whoppin' 10 bucks. Dammit. Members of PAC went to Peters for his surprise bday party. I hope he had much fun and surprised even though he really knew what was coming.

Once again, thanks for coming to the bonfire and making it a blast!

Thanks Lisa for the Oversized tennis stuff, tennis shirt, unopenable card, drink book, shock absorbers....
Thanks Kim for the shot glasses, wristband, Sex on the Beach book...
Thanks Hunny for the shirts, and other special things...
Thanks Patrick for getting emergency food, and saying that my present is at your mom's house.. =p
Thanks Albert for the shoutout in Asia.

Hey All of You!

I'm at an internet cafe (connected via satellite) on a tropical island in the Pacific. I've been here for about 3 days now. We pretty much took a 1.5 hour boat trip out to the ocean the day after arriving here (we drove for 6 hours just to get to the catamaran that took us out to the island). Anyway, this is the first chance I got to actually use the internet for any decent amount of time since I got here. Yesterday I took a boat ride around the island and went snorkeling at various locations in the coral reefs. The water is gorgeous and the are hundreds of fish that will literally eat out of your hand. I'm not sure if any of you would like it here since you have to deal with hot humid weather, mosquitoes, and for some, the lack of western food ^_^ I've been staying in a raised bungalow on a hillside. Anyway, it sounds great and it is great, but I do miss all of you.

So how was Cherry's baby shower? I'm sorry I missed that. I'll need to buy her something when I get back. I'm also sorry I'm missing your bonfire Rodel! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I'm sure you'll be having tons of fun. I hope you liked my present and I'm sorry I cant be there to celebrate with you in person but I'm there in spirit most definitely =)

And Pat, did you say TWO flat tires? Get your car fixed! C'mon man, you're a rich bastard =) You'll also be getting your house soon. Wow so crazy. I wish I could be there to party with you when you get it. Maybe I shoulda let you borrow my car while I was gone huh?

Anyway, I shouldnt be on the net too long because I'm supposed to go eat lunch now. So real quickly, I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer. Hope work is going well Kim. Hope your summer school class is going well Lisa. I hope teaching those 3 summer school classes is going well as well Kressler. hehe... Alright, adios amigos. Please right back and tell me how things are k? ^_^
I checked back about 4 times since your last post ;) Just not much to really report... Cherry's baby shower went well. Had ...interesting party favors (trojans anyone?) .. anyway, bonfire today (4:50am right now), I need to figure out how I am going to get there. I hoped Adam was going to go, but he decided to go down to San Diego to visit Kim for the weekend, and I still have my uber awesome 2 flat tires. But fear not! The h4x0r shall make it there somehow :)

The TV taping of "Drew Carey's Green Screen Show" was awesome today. Me, Lani, Ben, Peter, and Phil came to the studio on Vine and Sunset at 5:30 after having some KFC across the street. Then we ended up in line gettin' numbers 63, 64, 65, 66, 67. Actually sat us down in 10 minutes flat. Told us that the taping will last from 7:00 - 11:00 pm.

The show itself is a parody of "Who's Line is it anyways?" Plus with a green screen. They get to animate in some stuff. The pilot show (premiere) shows on September 16th, at 8:30 pm, on the WB.

The lineup today included Drew Carey, Colin Mochery, Greg Proops, Brad Sherwood, Jeff Davis, Kathy Kinney, and Sean Masterson.

So what improvs did they do?
They did a scene where you can say one syllable words only
They did a scenario
They did a story
I forgot the rest, but telling by my sore and numb jaw, it was funny from start to finish.

The host kept up the laughs. The host that I want to be! na, I'll just use him as an example. He juggled, made jokes, yelled funny quotes, made fun of people.

...Another concert, sheez.

Rodel Valdez - Superhero

Hey Lisa... I'm sorry to hear about your recording incident. My present is a failure! Even if I had good intentions for it... *sigh*

Hmmm... What would the world be like if you were God, Kressler? Hope you're not stressin out too much over school.

Good luck with all that wall-painting rodel. I'm not sure if I would want a black room.... Pat has a lavender room you might be interested in though... hehe...

It's good to see you're making the most of your summer Kim. Lots of very exciting stuff ahead for you.

Hey Pat, how goes the car? Getting it fixed yet?

Anyway, yes these are busy times. Oh yeah, your present is sitting (well, not sitting really since its not a person or living thing) in my room right now Rodel. I'll have to give it to you before the 5th. I've still got to wrap it but... I'll make sure I have enough wrapping paper. Bwahaha! Oh yes, enjoy using my torch =) That thing is great. We all certainly know how to throw birthday bashes and give gifts. That torch is awesome. (Sorry about melting that one candle onto your cake lisa). Anyway, now sounds like a good time to sleep. why do i heart jesse of maroon 5?? this is why..

The measure of a good society should be the quality of life that people enjoy... all people... and I'd like us to think about our society as a global society including every living organism on the planet. We just have to keep working towards harmony. -tour diary, 06.04.04

why do i heart ryan of maroon 5?? this is why...

I figure that, since I'm home, and the whole band is home for these few days, that I might as well write everything that's on my mind right now. This is a diary after all, and I might as well treat it as such.
I've been home for a couple weeks now, and I've got to say that I've never been so depressed in my entire life. My band has been out on the road, and I've been at home nursing a bum arm, and it @#%$ sucks. You never know what you've got until it's taken away from you.
I don't want this post to sound negative in any way, because it's not. Everything that is going on with our band is so exciting and inspiring that it's impossible to be negative about anything. I am so excited to get back into the game that it makes me want to explode.
When you're in the middle of something, no matter how wonderful it is, you can get jaded or just burned out, and, having been away from the journey for a couple weeks, I can say that Maroon 5 is more humbled and inspired by every thing that's going on than you could possible imagine.
I love all of our fans so much that it makes my heart swell. I'll see you all soon. I love you.

love,Ryan
