new junk

hola folks, good to see some pictures up of somewhere diffferent. I currently purchased, with the help of kressler of course, a digital SLR camera. Nikon D50, which was recommended for new SLR users like me and it was the cheapest out of the rest, i couldn't afford canon. But anyways, I also got Brain Age, and i have the brain of a 59 year old...great. I'm mad. Time to get back to a working that brain.

I just got back from camp...my camp and arizona adventures are on my blog. *sigh* vacation is over and back to work we go. It was nice while it lasted =).

Everything is well here. The weather is beautiful again, so I decided earlier in the week to not use my car at all. I've stuck to my resolution so far. It's really nice getting around without it. I went to the beach today and me and my roommate barbequed some burgers and fried up some french fries at home. Mmmmm... So friggin good. I'm not too far into the new quarter so I'm not too busy to enjoy life.

Anyway, hope you're all doin well. Post somethin!

hey everyone...haven't really heard from or seen you guys in a while, but i am leaving for boston in the morning

i'll be sure to take lots of pictures of all the fun kim and i shall have in boston & ny...and return with gifts for all! i'm going to try and enjoy my spring break as best as i can...i'm back thursday at 8:15pm - see you all soon! =)

I MISSED JOHN MAYER AT HOTEL CAFE?!?!

what the heck?? i check that stupid calendar every other day...looking for acts to go and see...there was nothing anywhere about john mayer going to hotel cafe!! the reason why there was no word is pretty obvious..but good grief. if i had just an inkling, i would have been there...this sucks!! i haven't seen him since the trio played in anaheim in september.

to make matters worse, he played new songs. ARG!! we are hotel cafe fans...but we did not go. we should have gone to see joe purdy last night...then we would have gotten a nice john mayer surprise. DANG IT!!

well, i can take comfort in the fact that it was a complete surprise and no one knew about it...and he's finishing this album so it shall be out soon with a tour. =)

ok, done griping about it...now back to either grading or not grading.. =)

i need sunshine and warm weather!

last week was a verra nice week. the temperatures had been rising to a modest 60 degrees, but even so, i was inspired enough to break out the flip flops. and then what happens, the weather drops again to a miserable 30 degrees... it's snowing today! garrrr... if i don't get me some more sunshine soon, i'm going to go nuts.

hey labert, totally hear you on the lack of decent japanese food outside of so cal, at least in relation to boston. gawd... i could kill for some authentic KB or JB. sadness...

speaking of fuddrucker's, we went to one a couple weeks ago. it was my first time and apparently, according to my cohorts, it had a smaller menu. i guess it was more of a 'to go' fuddruckers. either way, still delish!

i have a test at 6pm tonight. i've only been studying mildly, but i am not worried. not only am i genius (kidding, knock on wood) it is nearing the end of the semester and my energy and drive to pursue academic greatness is fastly deteriorating down the drain. my brain has been nearly bled dry... and gasp! finals quickly approach!

watever... i look forward instead to the mini episode of an exam break right before finals AND to kressler's visit!

sigh, i miss yard house too. =(

Grey Skies and Sleepy Eyes...

It's been raining, day after day after day... It seems that the clouds are taking residence here and may stay for at least another week. Unfortunately a cup of coffee and a friendly wave goodbye aren't enough to get rid of this oblivious guest...

It's there to greet me in the early morning and I can hear it as I sleep. I don't have the luxury of sleeping in like I did last quarter because class starts an hour and a half earlier. I have to wake up like I did back in grade school. I guess it's not too bad, after all. It's just that daylight savings is telling me my class is at 8 when my eyes tell me that my class is at 7.

Tara and I got back safely although I think we forgot to bring the good weather up with us. So, umm... enjoy.

Hmm.. new look for the blogger eh? I guess it was time for a change of pace...

Anyway, I had a good time at Fudd's and it was nice to see you again. It could be a while till the next time I'm down there. Shinsengumi for sure next time. Lest my ramen cravings eat me from the inside out. Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to find a japanese restaurant actually run by Japanese people up here?!?! There are also no yardhouses up here so I can't partake in the goodness this wednesday. None as in none in northern california at all. I'd have to drive to Pasadena to get to the closest yardhouse.

And OH MY GOODNESS! I read Thank You for Smoking roughly 4 years ago and I thought to myself, this has MOVIE written all over it. Hope you guys enjoy the movie and please tell me how it is. I highly highly recommend the book. Very funny and an easy read. It's by Christopher Buckley in case you're wondering.
