well, i've been feeling better lately...things haven't been so bleak. i think just working for dr. kuo makes me go insane...especially when i had no school...but now that i'm back to my regular 10-12 hour work schedule, things will go better i anticipate... =)
school is going ok so far...but it feels like high school. in pol sci, the teacher is abrasive and likes to yell at you...especially if you're a white male...hehe. talk about female angst...but at least she's interesting and no one can fall asleep with her loud voice. we have 3 exams, 1 project involving research on a court case and we are required to subscribe to time magazine for the semester....in bio, the teacher is nice...she got a full scholarship to med school, went to one semester and quit cuz she hated how things were like a business and all about money...she did research for 2 years, but hated it cuz it was boring, got her masters and phd, taught at ucsd for 5 years and now is at goldenwest...she sort of reminds me of me...but obviously a lot smarter...a full scholarship...dang. hehe, anyways, she's nice but it's a lot to keep up with...she gives pop quizzes on material she has yet to cover cuz she wants us to be ahead in the reading...lab is lame and in groups of 4 with occasional half-ass lab reports. and in geology...the teacher is cool...he survived schwann cell cancer...likes to start class of with some sort of inspiration for learning or happiness...but, my only problem is that every class we need to bring a pencil and scantron cuz we watch a video and have a video quiz every single class...at the end of the semester, all points are totaled and is straight scale and he claims that the video points will serve as "free points" in case we do bad on tests...and we have a seating chart...it's pretty lame. it feels like high school...at uci, they give you the reading assignment and you either do it or don't...you take a test to prove yourself...but there's so many checks and balances here...it's insane. i know they just want us to do well, but for goodness sake...let people decide how to do things for themselves...hopefully i will do well in these classes...there's a lot more white people there than i thought there would be...lots of blond girls and guys...and i might add, more attractive guys than at irvine, at least from what i've seen...if you want to find all the vietnamese people, go to bio...hehe. i'd say 90% of my bio lab is viet...she asked what our goals were, and they all said med school and pharmacy...lol. i wanted to yell out...you freaking people will never get in because you can't speak english!! but i didn't...but to hear everyone in their fobby voice say..." i wan be pha-ma-sis" haha..lol. that was freaking hilarious... =)
i hope tutoring will start up soon...they haven't called. i left a message for mike, but who knows when he will reply...should we just show up next week? eh...maybe i will...i dunno. we'll see...but i can't wait to see my kids again... =)
now the important news...my baby gambill won against #9 moya today @ the us open 6-3, 6-3, 6-1... *woohoo!!* =) up next, gaston gaudio from argentina...gambill will so kick ass...hehe. =)

i'm so sad...today i went to cheer on my hunny in his tennis tournament...the score was 7-5, 1-6, 5-3 and rodel was about to win...but as he came to net, he skidded and fell on the ground...he hurt his leg very badly. we just thought it was a cramp, but he didn't move for a while...he went on to play, but unfortunately lost 5-7 in the final set...afterwards, he collapsed on the court...i drove us home...now he's in bed, very difficult for him to walk on his leg... =( my hunny won that match in my mind...but it's more important that he's ok...i hope he is. i love you hunny and i'll always be here for you!! =) you'll win the next tournament, hands down.. =)

1. beach - i want to hang out at the beach, play in the water, relax and build sand castles...who's up for it??
2. balboa island - ok, i was bored and perusing the internet...balboa island is in newport. it may not be so inexpensive if we buy stuff, but just going around there might be fun...hehe, and it says here that we can take a 35 cent ferry to balboa peninsula.. =) this one i have to look more into
3. disneyland - lisa's got tickets...so only our personal expenses must be met..
4. universal studios - ok, 4 of us have annual passes...we gotta use them again, at least once...kimmy, we can get you a nice discount too =)
ok...my ideas may not be that cheap or inexpensive, but that's all i got...help me out guys. i really want to go to the beach though...i haven't gone once this summer and i missed out on all the water splashing and bonfire fun... =(

dear justin...here's my friendly advice for you...
i think you have to think about what will make you happiest. personally, i don't think that it's right for your parents to put the decision on you...i know you want your parents to be happy but sometimes you need to be a little selfish. is your own happiness worth sacrificing for your parents?....you're young and have your entire life ahead, with new journeys and paths ahead of you...and your parents have had good fulfilling lives with two grown sons who are looking ahead to starting their own lives. for your parents, they want to end their journey in a comfortable spot, like florida or north carolina...but for you, the journey has scarcely started...
there's lots of things you can do now...get a job, do more animation, go and take some college classes...and you can do that anywhere, not just in california or florida...but think about where you are happy. and don't emphasize staying here cuz your friends are here...you can always make new friends wherever you go and you know that even if you were on the other side of the world, we'd be right next to you in spirit.. =)
i'm probably the last person to give you advice about making yourself happy and being selfish because i still live at home with mama and papa, while they support me...but if i had the financial means, i would move out in a heartbeat because i need to discover things on my own...i know that right now you are unhappy with everything that's going on around you but don't worry, things will work out. the hardest thing to do is to start yourself on a project...putting out resumes, or enrolling in school...but after that initial weirdness, things seem to click into place. if you want to go to school, we're all still in school and you can go with us here if you want to see if you'd like it...or if you want to get a job, we can all help you in searching...maybe you should try here in cali, and if there is no success here maybe you would have better luck in florida or north carolina...who knows. you choose your own path and make your happiness...no matter what you choose, i know it will be right for you...and we will all be here to support our good friend =)
dear kimmy...
cheer up little one...time will bandage that wounded heart...and so will friends =) we're all here for you...to complain to, to listen, to have fun with, to roast marshmallows with, to play mah jong with, to give friendly advice or a sturdy shoulder, to laugh or smile with, to support our dear kimmy.. =)
dear lisa...

Hmmm...sir justin...have you discussed this with your parents? Maybe they don't realize the situation you find yourself in. No matter where you decide to reside, you can still visit the other parties =). You can always job search while you're trying to decide and see where you're more able to find something suitable for you. It's absolutely a difficult decision, but no matter what you decide, it will be the right one =). No matter where you are, YOU make your own happiness!! =) Good luck! =)

Hi... Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'm still here on earth... but in a very tight spot. I have a very difficult decision to make. Do I go to Florida to make my parents happy? Or do I stay here where my life is... here with my friends. If I go to Florida, I would be there trying to find a job. If I do find a job, I wouldn't be coming back. If I go there and don't look for a job, I shouldn't go at all and just save my money. So I think my only choice now is to try to find a job here and send my parents to Florida/North Carolina. But this isn't without a problem. If I don't go... they don't go. So here we are... back at the beginning. I want to make my parents happy... but it would be at the cost of my own happiness. There is my problem... any input would help.
