yardhouse on 4/5

howdy howdy,

there was a flyer in the faculty lounge at my school about a charity thing going on at all yardhouse locations. i think on wednesday 4/5 chp officers will be acting as servers from 5-9pm and all the money they raise will go to charity. seems like a good reason to go out...anyone interested?? =)

hilarity

i must thank my friend john for finding some truly funny and interesting stuff on the internet...enjoy! =)

I would drive 500 hundred miles...

I have a final tomorrow and two on tuesday. Damn these quarters move quickly (although it's quite gratifying to knock courses off your checklist in 11 weeks). And once again, I find myself having to pay tuition. Gotta prepare taxes soon too. x_x So now that the bad and ugly are done.. Let's move onto the good!

I hope everyone had a good St. Patty's day, especially you Pat for the obvious reasons =) (mine was so-so, I actually had more on thursday than friday, me and a housemate downed half a bottle of the Captain between the two of us and I had several white russians minus the vodka on top of that, good times!) I had a pretty decent week/weekend. I found a place that would work as a substitute for Albertacos while I'm up here, I also went to a great sushi place yesterday (they seem to have very good udon too.. so maybe I'll have that next time...). Even still I miss the food down there. So make time to go to Fuddruckers and Shinsengumi! (I'm also gonna squeeze in an Albertaco run and a Sushi Time run at some point during the week as well)

What else has been going on? I visited the UCSC Seymour Center Aquarium and they actually had a piece of whale skin on display. Apparently a whale had died and beached the day before in Monterey =( but they actually cut a chunk of the whale's skin and sent it in. Did you know other than barnacles, whales have lice on their skin? Ewww... About the size of your pinky nail. They also have a fully constructed blue whale skeleton outside. Another odd event, they let the cows out! One of the fields around the campus has pretty much been empty all quarter until last week. I drove by and I saw a herd of cows.. WTF? O_O Apparently they let them out into the fields during the warmer months. I'll get pictures of the whale skin, skeleton, and cows up when I get the pictures developed.

Other than that, not too much goin on. I'm guessing you're feeling better Lisa since you went for a jog on the beach. Here it comes, The Obligatory... You go girl. Seriously, your week was crazy. I'm not sure if I quite feel the pains of absolutely needing to go to bed early yet Kressler, but maybe I'll get a taste for them next quarter with my damned 8am classes. Waking up at 7? CURSES! I wanted to ride my bike to class next quarter but I'm not sure if that's happenin with 8am classes. Hope things are warming up in the land of Bostonia, Kim. Rodel.. Pat... what's up homeys?

Alright, back to studying I go...

sitting in class...

hey everyone...how are YOU doing??

i am currently sitting in a district class called...BLOGGING FOR EDUCATORS. and guess what? i just learned how to blog! =) it's enlightening.

it has been a busy week so far...quite a lot to do. monday was the only day when i had nothing to do after school...except grade tests!! i need to really think of some great end of the year presents for my TA's cuz they grade soooo much for me.

tuesday i had cpr class for nearly 4 hours after school...good grief, that was a long time! the good news is that i got a free dinner (sandwich/soda/cookies/chips) and also i completely rocked the demonstration part. i guess i paid attention to what i learned oh so long ago...

wednesday was concert night...frustration!! we get tired so easily now...i was yawning at 10pm!! it was tolcher/stephen kellogg & the sixers/pat mcgee band. we came in like 10 min. after the "doors open" time and we missed some of tolcher's very, very short set. and then he announces that if we have our ipod he will give us an exclusive song found no where else...booooo!! i don't carry my ipod around with me...gosh, next time...whenever that is! stephen kellogg was next. whoa...they were cuh-razy! but they were so much fun...they were dancing around on stage, throwing stuffed animals at one another to distract people in the band while playing or singing...jumped into the crowd and played a song in the middle of the venue...and then in the encore, the keyboard/guitar player who proclaimed himself the "kooky" one stripped down to boxers and played guitar on stage. that was a great, great set...then it was pat mcgee which was pretty lackluster. they did not have the same energy as tolcher or stephen kellogg....and even though lisa wanted to go to see them, we ended up leaving early because it just wasn't that exciting. probably a very good thing cuz i was TIRED!

today i was supposed to have this big project all ready to give to the students, but of course i didn't have it done. so i had to do it this morning...it worked out well though cuz i think i was pretty clear in my guidelines. and now, like i said before, i am at a training to "learn" how to blog. hehe

tomorrow & monday should be lovely for me...nothing but vocab. for life sci and computer lab for bio...sweet!! the stress level is basically gone now. woo! and now i'm leaving this training to hopefully go & have dinner with my boo...the one night that i'm not working and he's not working. maybe korean bbq?? i dunno...i shall think about it!

tomorrow is st. patrick's day...are you all getting sloshed? hehe...well, we know that i'm not. and if i can stay awake past dinner, mayhaps we can hang out (for those of you in southern cali). unless you're all out partying, in which case i shall watch dvd movies & maybe have some peach ice cream...yum!!

enough ramblings..this training ended 10 minutes ago!! blog people...so lonely in mokroopal-land!
