I need replies!

I've found out that there will be two orchestrated concerts (one in san diego and one in l.a.) for music from the final fantasy series composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Those of you who would like to attend, please let me know so I can purchase tickets. The L.A. concert is on May 16th ( a monday, and during my finals week so I'm not sure about this one) and the San Diego concert is on July 14th. Tickets are 40-50 depending on which section we choose. Please let me know if you're interested so I can buy tickets before all the other geeks buy them =)

Oh yes, and we're still on for Jay Mohr on the 2nd of April. =)

1 day away!

howdy all...

we leave for SF tomorrow! it should be fun...and i just rechecked the forecast and it says no rain. it will be a bit chilly though...

when i came home, my SF visitor guides were in the mail...it was almost magic. =) they were supposed to come after our trip but they are here now.

whale watching was incredible! we saw 2 whales, a family of dolphins swam alongside our boat and we saw sea lions...a great aquatic day!

teitur last night was so AWESOME! he reminds me of sondre in many ways...but i love the soft and sweet melodies. he is quite funny but shy at the same time...he looks like such a geek, but nevertheless is wonderful. we sat 2 tables away from the stage...the largo has a great ambience but the food could use some improvement...oh well. after hearing *one & only*...i really like it now. but i still love *you're the ocean* the best. i also liked the willie nelson & louis armstrong influences...and the lonely people stories. =)

ok, off i go to do some logical packing...and laundry. =) see you tomorrow!! oh...and i'll miss you lots hunny. i'll call you in SF...and stay out of trouble. ;)

can you guys believe its snowing again here in boston? the last week has been gorgeous, if not chilly, and now i'm watching a news report on storm coverage!!!

i hope you guys are on later so that i can aim with y'all... but don't make me stay up too late!

roar... LOL, i just realized that you guys are all at TEITER. OK, now i really hope i don't have to stay up super late to talk to you guys. =)

Rain on the Parade...

So here it is... the bad news...

Wayne Brady's performance at the Improv has been cancelled. I don't know why. Apparently Jay Mohr will now be performing on April 2nd. Booooooooo.... Sorry Rodel =(

Anyway, it just started raining quite heavily down here.. I hope it's not like this tomorrow night or for the rest of the week in fact. By the way, how's the weather in Boston Kim? Well, I hope your attempt at drinking $300 dollars worth of alcohol hasn't left you feeling under the weather. =)

Kressler, you're not a bad teacher. In fact, you're a great one. I think it's a tough time for teachers in today's society. I think the job of being a teacher has become progressively more difficult in this day and age. If you need another grading session, feel free to impose =)

As for you Ms. Mouri. Wow, I'm impressed. It's quite a list of goals you have so I hope you can get around to accomplishing all of it =)

I hope you're enjoying my Porno Graffiti CD Pat because I'll be coming back for it soon! Anyway, I hope you and rodel are have a Pyro-blast playing WoW. I certainly don't want to be an Ogre and Interrupt your adventures. Hope you two rogues are getting some sleep, there's nothing like playing when you're rested =)

WED, Teitur

Meet at Kressler's house at 5:30 this Wednesday.
Reminder: There is a $15 cash cover at the door and a $15 minimum food order inside per person. There is a menu on the website =).

Albert, I'm sorry about your loss, I hope you're doing ok.
Ah, and thanks for the CD, it's great, I'll bring it back on Wednesday =).

Kress, hope all is going well at school! Teach those kids who's boss ;).

Kim, is the sun out melting the snow? =) hope all is going well...see you very soon!

Rodel and Patrick, hehe, hope the "wow-ing" is going well! I was going to make a smart ass remark, but I don't know enough about the game to make one! hehe...oh well =)

yo albert

hah, just read your post right now, Albert, welcome back. Come to pats from now til wednesday...

Hola Mis Amigos!

I'm back from my trip to Berkeley. I got back around 2am today so I'm guessing if you guys did hang out, I probably missed it. Unless of course you were at the Denny's we typically eat at 1:30am, in that case, I was across the street getting gas at the Chevron =) Anyway, I feel pretty relaxed after my vacation. Although I had to wake up to go to a funeral at 7:30 today.

It was actually a very sad funeral. Not to say funerals aren't sad, but this one in particular because it was my babysitter's husband who passed away. My babysitter and her husband took care of me for a good portion of my early childhood, as early as the age of 2. So in a lot of ways, he was like a grandfather figure to me.

Anyway, I hope you all had a good week. I'm looking forward to Teitur =) Btw, I hope you enjoyed the Mayumi Kojima CD, Lisa. Oh yes, and I have a CD you might want a copy of Pat ^_^

Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow...

So yesterday, I had some free time. Enough (or so I thought) to install the head unit you guys got me. So I tore apart my dashboard to figure out... lo and behold.... this would be harder than I thought. There are several special parts you need to buy as well as having the right tools for installation because you need to shear and crimp wires (there is actually quite a bit of wiring to do). Well, I decided that it was a lot of trouble to buy and crimp everything, so today I just went to the nearby car audio place and had them do it =) Anyway, it's installed now and I'm not sure what the verdict is on how it sounds because I need to adjust. I'll have to burn myself some cd's to test it out, so I'm in for some good times ^_^

Yesterday, I also finished filling out a Jury Summons questionnaire. Yup, I got the dreaded jury summons. I'm going to reschedule it to the 1st of June and I need to mail that out tomorrow. Who knows? Perhaps it was the jury summons for your case Pat. =) "He's Innocent!"

I also decided to start cleaning my room yesterday (as well as doing some laundry), and not just a normal clean, but a full scale war against disorder. I've been throwing away things left and right, sorting, reorganizing, and my room looks actually looks worse than when I started which is an indication I'm heading in the right direction. Hopefully I'll finish that tonight (and hopefully finish my laundry by tomorrow).

As for tomorrow, I'm gonna take my car in to get an oil change, tire balance & rotation, and steering alignment in the morning. So hopefully it'll be done by afternoon. I'll probably be up at your (Kressler) place around 5'ish if that's ok. I'm guessing that's about the time we should be there if we want to leave by 5:30 Kim. So Lisa, let me know if you want to carpool to Kressler's and someone please tell me who I need to pay and how much I need to pay for the ticket.

Oh yeah, I found out I got a 97% on my lab practical in anatomy today. w00t! Anyway, I hope your yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows are all interesting. Oh yes, and have fun on your trip tomorrow Pat!

conjecture for M5 plans.

show starts at 8:15, need to get there about an hour to an hour and half early to get the fanclub tix as well as get good spots in the pit, takes about 40 minutes to get to the universal amphitheatre from anaheim.

SO... i would shoot for a leaving time of 5:30ish. 5 if we wish to take into account rush hour traffic. =) Um... meeting place: Kressler's?

a good day...so far.

today is going well. biology is taking a test today [which will most likely ruin the day later because i'll be grading all night...but no worries!] and in life science we did a virus transmission lab and was actually quite successful! =) the kids got it, they liked it and i didn't finish too early...which is always a plus. i think it is my *proud to be awesome* shirt that is doing the trick..

well, i'm off to start my grading...have a nice day everyone! =)

Another Long Day...

So today is the day of my lab practical in anatomy. I feel somewhat prepared after the two study sessions I had over the weekend but I think I'll be spending part of this morning filling in the gaps. I should do just fine, my classmates certainly seem to believe so, and I can take the test not looking like a cave man =) After the weekend excursions and yesterday's trip to Anjin (which was awesomely good as usual, Thanks Pat!), I certainly feel relaxed. I'm very happy about my two purchases as well, and I'm sure you're all quite happy with yours.

Anyway, I'm gonna to get crackin now. Hope you all have a friggin fantastic day! (Because sometimes good just doesn't cut it) ^_^

Cost

It's a funny thing, it was all free.. :) I don't know why, but JetBlue comp'd everything and so did the hotel... yeah...

hooray! =)

hooray! =)

We're going to sf!! =) hehe...it's been soooo long! =) Thenks for booking the stuff! Can you please post the cost information so I may better plan the month out? =)

Lol...we don't have to travel down Lombard St. =) Hehe...I've traveled down once, I'll survive ;).
Fisherman's wharf is a must...mmmm...anything we do will be fantastical, I'll leave the iterary editing to you guys =).

Improv...I'm game for either time...=)

w00t! can't wait to see everyone this weekend! errr, monday at least ;). hehe...*muah* until then =)

my only stiplulations

i only have three SF wishes:

ghiradelli square (YUM)
palace of fine arts
drinking =)

are you talking about the crooked road? that was fun, but kinda scary =)

By Jove, I think I've got it!

Well, I've already made a list of things to do and places to see while we're in SF. I'll put down some of the things that we can do and you can give it a yay or nay to see what will survive on our travel itinerary =) Places to go:

Union Square (two blocks from our hotel, something we'll definitely do), shopping on Powell Street (lots of major stores, some in gargantuan form like a 4 story levi's store and an Old Navy on Steroids that has a literal bargain basement, ride the trolley?), the Sony Metreon ( if you're interested in electronic wizardry and staring at TV's worth more than what you drive), Ghiradelli Square & Fishermans Wharf (We're Going, I don't care what you say, I want me seafood and me ice cream , Yargh!), Embarcadero Center for Shopping, Golden Gate bridge/park/alcatraz (a san francisco tourist's bread & butter), Berkeley (for any of you interested in seeing the campus/campus life around berkeley, you can also go to the top of the clock tower, have curry, eat gelato, more shopping, and go to a place that i know of to shoot pool, get tipsy, and chill), the winding street lisa sees in movies, chinatown, japan town... Those are some of the possibilities..

We certainly can't get around to doing everything but we can certainly will get around to a lot of the major stuff. Tara suggested eating at a place called Tommy's Joint for dinner our first night there. It's located in San Fran and has lots of good eats and is supposed to be a haven for all us carnivores. We can get around to Fisherman's Wharf the next day and a lot of shopping and sightseeing. I prefer going to Fisherman's Wharf during the daylight hours but I guess we'll figure it out. That still leaves saturday night and sunday morning. Anyway, if anyone wants to add input that would be very welcome. Anyway, I'm off to go study for the test that I'm taking in 40 minutes.

By the way, for Wayne Brady tickets at the Improv on Saturday the 2nd next month. They're roughly $50 per person, just so you know. Anyway, do you guys prefer the early show which does serve dinner, or the 9:00 clock show which does not serve dinner? And which of you are going? I'll probably call you up on this and order tickets by tomorrow.

San Fran

Today we booked all the flights and what not. Everyone (but Kim.. and Rodel) is leaving on the 25th at 6:20pm from Long Beach..we arrive at 7:40pm. We leave Sunday at 5:40pm and arrive back in So Cal at 7:00pm. We're staying at the Renaissance Parc 55 Hotel, we have a 2 bedroom suite for two nights. Kim will be arriving in the morning before us, and she will be leaving after us on Sunday.

I assume that some of you have some particular places that you want to go while we are there, so maybe we should try to make some kind of plans on where we want go to while we are there. We have a few hours Friday, all of Saturday, and a good chunk of Sunday to get around town and see the sights. I think I'll leave it up to the girls though, I have a feeling you all have an idea of where you want to go :)
