so, a lot has happened this weekend..hehe =)
as i've mentioned before, there was mraz on friday...that was a kick patootie show. =)
saturday was a little hectic...woke up late that morning since i was tired from friday, i lounged til early afternoon and then got ready...and ickiness started that day, the way only us girlies know. so anyway, i got ready and went to take the cset...i saw gabe, al rabanera and sarah from csuf...the test started at 2 and it lasts for 5 hours!! i took three tests that day...two general science and one biology...each test consisted of at least 50 multiple choice questions and 2-3 essay questions...it was difficult, but not as much as i had anticipated. this doesn't mean i think i passed with flying colors though...we shall see soon enough. it was a long, long period of time...but i at least finished the tests in 4 hours and did not have to stay until 7pm. as i walked out close to 6pm, it was dark...and the testing rooms were freezing with the air conditioning on. anyways, the test was ok but draining...i couldn't wait for it to be over.
i came home, ate some pho and speedily got ready for homecoming...i was tired and felt bloated, but nevertheless i dressed up and all. hehe...i got there right at 745, when i was supposed to... =) a lot of the other teachers were still at dinner at black angus when i got there. angela was there...so i hung out with her a lot, since i don't know all of the teachers there. my teacher arrived and he came over and talked to me quite often throughout the night.. =) he and i took a picture together and all of the staff took a picture together. the nite was quite fun, although i felt a little tired. i saw a bunch of my students there...talked to many of them...one gave me a hug.
i wanted to be all energized, but feeling a bit out of sorts i mostly stood around. it's funny how ironic life can be...when it's your duty to guard a door and you stand by it, people say you don't need to stand by the door...and yet, when it's not specifically your duty to stand by a door, people assign you to watch it...it's odd. and then, when you think you need to dress very appropriately and reserved, you see people of higher positions of authority dress in the completely opposite manner. plus, you get to see the sign of the times...very seductive and promiscuous dresses...extremely high slits, tight tight dresses, cleavage, cut out backs, cut out fronts...although there was an abundance of girls in flipflops and also in slippers...hehe.
there was a mini-debate [not with me though] with my teacher and angela about teachers dancing with students...on one hand, the dancing is very innocent and nothing happens between teacher/student...but on the other hand, there could be misinterpretation of events, rumors started and trouble prevailing. so my teacher and i were on the same page about teachers [especially young & new ones, like another male student teacher there who danced with some students] who should not dance with students cuz it can be potential trouble, although completely innocent...and angela argued that if it's innocent fun, then the teacher shouldn't be afraid to have fun, especially with so many other teachers around. i understand both sides, but as everyone well knows, i am more safe than sorry...thus agreeing with my teacher. why put yourself in a compromising position, one that may cost you a career? besides, there's something wrong when boys 17 and under want to boogie down with their science teacher...that's what i think anyway. hehe...i mean, it's one thing to be a cool teacher...quite another to be a naive one. don't worry..i danced with no one, although if a bunch of teachers were on the dance floor dancing to like michael jackson, i think i would join them...hehe. it's ok to dance with other teachers/chaperones, but with students alone...uh,no. last nite at the dance, i also felt more inclined to dance than when i myself was in high school...hehe. =)
the music was good...mostly hip hop/club style music...i even recognized a lot of them, hehe =) lots of suggestive dancing with bumping & grinding...although a lot of the music reflected this mentality as well...except the actual song bump&grind. =) i had fun...and i'm definitely chaperoning future dances. =)
today was interesting...well, not really. rodel and i went to take pictures. he's so silly.. =) we specifically took pictures so that he could do the pose where he gives me a flower.. =) anyways, i think i look horrible in the picture but my boo is the cutest =) i also realized another thing...i don't have many friends..hehe. and i don't mean this in any bad way...it's just that, usually when you take these pictures you split the wallets...although the girl usually gets more cuz she has more friends to give them away to...but in this case, it is opposite. i seriously could not name more than like 5-6 people to give them to, whereas rodel could think of more than 30. i have no idea what is going on, but it perplexes me. i mean, i like having friends that i'm really close to...but i can't think of more than 5 people to give pictures to?? good gracious..oh well. i will give the remainder of mine to rodel for dispersal. =)
well, that was my weekend...it was great. and now back to school tomorrow...then tuesday off. =) two more days until the 6 year anniversary... =)
