jason, howie & john

so i started reading the journal of mraz...and here is what i stumbled upon for the 12/8/04 entry:

I love indie rock. I like music where you feel special when you listen to it,
like you’re the only one who has a copy. I had the pleasure the other night to
see Howie Day at the Roxy in LA. It’s a fairly small club, perfect for an
intimate evening with Howie and Cary Brothers and Suzie Suh. After the show,
Howie and I went across the street for a secret midnight John Mayer show at the
Viper Room. Now that was indie rock. He didn’t play no body is a wonderland or
anything you’d expect. He was playing for his love of music. He was Jimi Hendrix
and Buddy Guy and Stevie Vaughn all rolled up into one big reincarnation
burrito. He was Mayer comes alive. He was the reminder I need. He became once
again a role model.

can you imagine...mraz, howie & mayer all in the same place all at the same moment in time? how sweet that would have been. this just brings back the sadness...

however, i will say that tomorrow is christmas and life is good...so i say happy happy christmas everyone! we get to see mraz in a couple of weeks...and for now, dreaming of the next time i see mayer & howie....and maybe meeting jude law. he was so awesome in closer...i really, really liked that movie! sure there was a lot of explicit language, and i've never heard so many sex terms in one sitting before. however, i thought all the characters were believable and it was a great ensemble piece...those are some pretty messed up people...but i think in a way we all have our issues to deal with...and for you boys out there, natalie portman was quite good in this film...she made quite a good stripper. but i digress....season's greetings everyone...see you on monday for our after christmas-christmas party! pajamas people!! =)
