hi everyone,
so it was nice hanging out together at lisa's...we haven't done that in a while, but the drive home for me (& rodel) was a bit scary. We stayed pretty late and it was raining when we left. we just got onto the 55 when my wiperblade broke!! we got off at the first stop & parked in the gas station. it seemed like a piece was missing or the blade came loose, but the metal part came unhooked. try as we might to put it together (and we did) after about 10 wipes it would break again...it was so late and they didn't sell wiper blades nor did they know how to fix ours.
fortunately for us, the rain let up and we decided to drive home while it was clear...hoping that no more rain would pour down. we were lucky because our entire fwy trip was rain free....but i drove extra careful anyway. we exit at beach (still clear) and i said to rodel, "it looks like we made it ok." of course that turned into a curse because as soon as we turned onto beach, a medium rain hit...seeing was obviously difficult but i made it home without having to use the blades (although a few emergency swipes could have been done).
i have placed the wiper blade on my kitchen table with a note that reads, "my wiper blade broke while driving home - please get me a new one!!" my dad should read it and fix it for me...but honestly, he just changed the wiper blades a couple of months ago because they were old & were not wiping well.
i'm sort of glad it happened when rodel was there cuz i am the type of person who, if having car trouble, would freak out because i can't fix cars. if i had been driving home late from school or halfway to school in the morning, that would be a worse situation i guess. i seriously considered going back to lisa's to stay there..but it's supposed to rain all of monday, so that wouldn't do that much good i suppose. although scary at the moment, we are home safe & sound - so ends this tale of driving home late. =)
