music news...

why hello!!

i know the following is not applicable to everyone on here, but here it goes...

1. HOTEL CAFE - i think we should go together...sometime. although sara bareilles is playing tomorrow, it might not be a convenient time for most. when the july calendar is up, maybe we can see some people...i'm interested to see sara bareilles, jessie baylin, joshua radin (he must be good since lisa likes his music soo much!), mat kearney, and more i cannot think of now

2. OTHER CONCERTS - tolcher & edwin mccain [HOB Anaheim, 7/17], duncan & vienna teng [Coach House, 7/23; Troubadour, 7/25]...those are the only ones of people we are thoroughly familiar with...but new music in a quiet setting might be better for us these days.

3. THE JOHN MAYER - lots of news on him...

a. NEW WEBSITE. there isn't a lot on it...but there are tour dates & his blog and...

b. NEW SINGLE. it's called "waiting on the world to change" and i like it quite a bit...although i am obviously bias. =)

c. CONCERT. presale is on 7/5 (for the concert in september) and i'm buying 2 tickets for lisa and myself unless others tell me they want to go. he's touring with sheryl crow...and rumor has it mat kearney is an opener as well, but i haven't seen any official announcement on that.

d. STAND-UP COMEDY? omg, he did a show at the laugh factory in late may...and then another show...somewhere else just this past week? i do think he is hilarious, but stand up? not too sure about that one...i also read that he put his relationship with j.love.hewitt into the act...and then sent her an apology letter! apparently he didn't sleep with her because of bad fish...he does have millions of girls after him though so i don't think he needs to worry about that particular activity.


so that is all for music from me...sort of in a hotel cafe/largo sort of mood nowadays. =)
